PAYUSA’s Emergency (Non-Contact) Snack, Breakfast Distribution a Major Success!

Despite the looming fear of Covid-19, hundreds of recipients lined up and wrapped around the Threadmill Mall Complex on a rainy Easter Sunday to receive a much needed stimulus package for their food pantry, courtesy of Positive American Youth! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPsENTUZJwQ&feature=youtu.be   Positive American Youth's (PAYUSA's) food pantry has seen a spike in numbers as the covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic has left school aged children home all day, along side many parents. To make matters more challenging, many of these parents who have seen reduced hours, lay offs, furlows and even terminations. Action needed to be taken, and that action came in the form of a series of mass distributions aimed at households with school aged children. On Sunday April 12th, PAYUSA gave out hundreds of prepackaged boxes. These "care packages" were filled with items such as cereal, granola bars, canned meals, mixed veggies, popcorn and rice cakes. Many of the boxes also contained learning toys and books! Staff and volunteers dawned protective mask and gloves. They were also advised to have no physical contact with recipients and little conversation, in an overt attempt to follow CDC guidelines and maintain the safety of all parties. Hence the 'non-contact' distribution.   Staf with Mask on The event was sponsored in part by PAYUSA's community partners such as Cobb EMC, The City of Austell and The Around the town moving Company. the event was covered by The Marietta Daily Journal, WSB-2 and Channel 46. Back To School Bash a Big Hit!

Positive American Youth, Reec, Fair Oaks Park, Freeway Fanatics, Chi Gamma Gamma Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity joined together with vendors and volunteers to make a Back To School a Big Hit! July 23rd the community surrounding Fair Oaks Park were treated to free BBQ courtesy of Reec of Hot 107.9. The food was sponsored in part by the non profit Positive American Youth and prepared by the Chi Gamma Chapter of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. Reec broadcast live from the event reminding listeners of Hot 107.9 to join the thousands that where there for free food, book bags, school supplies, hair cuts and more. Microsoft Store of Lenox mall brought out mobile famine units for kids and Game Fury Atlanta brought a mobile game truck! Hundred of stuffed backpacks where the highlight for families who could use a little boost for jack to school. Check out pictures:

Reec & Microsoft Team up for Summer Camp Take Over

Reec's Summer Camp Take Over kicked off on Friday June 23 with a bang! Kids of 60/40 Set Summer Camp where treated to a fun day of interactive learning at the Microsoft Store in Lenox Mall. The kids not only got the chance to talk on the radio with Reec on Hot 107.9, but they also built there own APP that can be downloaded on the APP Store & they where put into teams were they put together business plans & presentations with Microsoft's new Business Management Software. They also got to test the new gaming systems & the virtual reality simulator! Each camper received gifts from Reec, Positive American Youth, Hot 107.9 & they were treated to lunch by Chick-Fil-A (3280 Peachtree Rd. Atlanta). Hundreds Hooked Up with Free Turkeys!

Positive American Youth was able to supply hundreds of families in need with free frozen turkeys just in time for the holidays! Reec of Hot 107.9 kept the crowd entertained along with Dj Deceptacon. Mike Smoake, CEO of Smoake & Bones BBQ, provided the crowd with delicious treats hot of of the grill for free! 77 Families also received holiday trees and ornaments  courtesy of For Prints Call Us.  The event was sponsored by Attorney Justin D. #PayDay2016 Free Celebrity Bball Game & More by Positive American Youth!

Positive American Youth kicks off it's programming year with a huge free event titled PAYDAY. This years #Payday2016featured and basketball camp, celebrity bball game, candy give away and live entertainment! Hot 107.9's own Reec Swiney & Shyneka Richardson hosted the event alongside Young Dro. Halftime was full of excitement from FlipCity South AIR ELITE INC. and #Damani.
